Turning an overlooked byproduct into industrial value.
We transform Atlantic Canadian shellfish byproducts into high-purity biomaterials — reducing waste, recovering value and creating new material inputs for global industries.
28,000 tonnes. Almost no value recovered.
Each year, Newfoundland generates approximately 28,000 tonnes of shellfish byproducts. More than 90% is returned to the ocean. We are building a pathway to keep that resource in productive use.
We transform byproducts
of Atlantic Canadian shellfish
into advanced biomaterials
Through our proprietary MCE process, we can transform shellfish byproducts into high-purity materials at production scale.
This proprietary process combines mechanical preparation, a citric-acid chemical stage and organic enzymes rather than conventional hydrochloric acid and sodium hydroxide, enabling cleaner, high-purity and consistent biomaterial output.
Marine Stewardship Council Certification
Our biomaterials align with Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) Certification guidelines by meeting modern environmental standards without compromising performance.
