Founder & Chief Operating Officer
Overview
Shane Yamamoto is a Founder and the Chief Operating Officer of Atlantic BioCorp. He leads development and scale-up of the company’s marine bioproduct platform and its flagship industrial facility in St. Anthony, turning validated chemistry into audit-ready, commercially viable products for regulated and advanced markets.
Applied Systems Delivery
An inventive, applied problem-solver, Shane designs large technical systems and stages multi-site rollouts with minute-level logistics, live communications and hands-on commissioning. He converts process designs into dependable, repeatable operations by coordinating trades, contractors and operators and by building resilient operational architectures that prioritize uptime, traceability and practical performance.
Governance & Commercial Strategy
Shane bridges corporate governance and frontline delivery: authoring governance-grade SOPs, establishing IP capture and audit-ready documentation, and translating those systems into pragmatic work packages. His international commercial experience across Asia, Europe and the United States informs supply-chain design, procurement, import/export and disciplined scale plans. He pairs technical roadmaps with market strategy to create premium product specifications, defensible pricing and measurable go-to-market funnels that move pilots into contracted, revenue-producing operations.
Community, Roots & Ambition
Shane’s work is personal. His grandfather — a Japanese immigrant and commercial fisherman on Canada’s Pacific coast — taught him determination and practical resilience through the boom-and-bust cycles of the fishery. That upbringing drives Shane’s commitment to zero-waste, locally beneficial industrial platforms that deliver cleaner shores, higher-value byproducts and stronger coastal economies. He splits his time between Kelowna, B.C., and St. John’s / St. Anthony, Newfoundland, and is focused on implementing national industrial infrastructure and applied R&D platforms that scale regional benefit into sovereign Canadian capability.
ABC’s Mission Statement
